Just like we have the tradition of tagging our Christmas tree on the first day the tree farm is open, we also have a tradition of going to get the tree and decorating it the day after Thanksgiving. So this morning, we went to breakfast and then it was off to the tree farm to hopefully be able to find the tree we tagged. Funny story from last year-we had a hard time finding the tree we tagged and as we're walking around in a sea of Christmas trees Colin says "I know it's around here somewhere in a place that looks like this."
This year we were able to locate our tree without any problems. It was 50 degrees and sunny today so it did seem a little strange to be cutting down a Christmas tree.
Colin sawing it down
That was easy!
All done!
Bring on Christmas!

You were lucky to have good weather! your tree is beautiful. The star won't stay straight on our tree this year so I'm jealous of yours:) We have your card hanging up and K informed me that when it's time to take the cards down, he was going to hang yours on his bedroom wall. Wow, aren't you special? Yes you are, and I love you guys. Merry Christmas.
Hi. I work with Colin. Not to be creepy or anything. He makes me laugh and your blog makes me smile. We can be blog friends or something.
Ha! I actually think we met once so it's not too creepy. :) We can definitely be blog friends. I didn't think anyone actually read this thing.
